A Note from Your Chair: Grateful, Grounded, and Ready to Work
Dear friends and neighbors,
This is the season for counting blessings, and I have a long list. I'm grateful for every one of you who knocked on a door, made a phone call, put up a sign, or simply took the time to study the ballot and vote. I'm grateful for our candidates, who put their names and their families on the line to serve this valley. And I'm grateful to live in a place where neighbors still show up for one another.
Tuesday night, Cache County held firm. We retained three of our four State House seats and our State Senate seat, withSen. Scott Sandallre-elected. We retained five of seven County Council seats. We retained our Congressional seat. At a time when many parts of our state and our country saw very different outcomes, our county stood strong, and that is something to celebrate.
We did this because we have a strong Republican base here and because we stay centered on our platform values. Those values look a lot like the ones the pioneers who settled this valley lived by: work hard, live within your means, take care of your own, keep your word, and help the family down the road. Limited government, careful stewardship of every tax dollar, strong families, honest dealing, and service to our neighbors aren't history-book ideas. They're why most of us joined this party, and they're why Cache County keeps trusting us.
Not every race went our way. ToSandi Goodlander,JoAnn Bennett,Rep. Jason Thompson, and every candidate who came up short: thank you. You served honorably and ran with integrity, and your service is not forgotten. And to the voters: you did exactly what you're supposed to do. You weighed the choices and decided. We respect that, and we'll keep earning your trust.
Looking ahead, we're ready to work across the aisle as we continue strengthening and supporting our county toward good long-term decisions. Our party is a big tent, with room for the young family that just moved to Smithfield, the USU student voting for the first time, and the neighbor who has never thought of themselves as political. Let's keep having real conversations with everyday people about what they need.
So this Thanksgiving, let's be grateful, let's celebrate what we accomplished together, and then let's roll up our sleeves. There is good work ahead, and I can't think of better people to do it with.
Happy Thanksgiving, and a joyful holiday season to you and yours.
With gratitude,
Natalie Levi

What it means for Cache County:Our county held firm while many parts of the state and country went another way. Republicans keep five of seven County Council seats, every countywide office stayed Republican, and three of our four Cache-area House members and Sen. Sandall return to the Capitol. Beginning January 1, 2027, two Democrats will join the council, and we look forward to working across the aisle for good long-term decisions for Cache County. Our sincere thanks toCouncil Chair Sandi Goodlander,JoAnn Bennett, andRep. Jason Thompsonfor their service.
Election Results with Statewide and Federal Impacts
UNOFFICIAL statewide results as of Wed Nov 4, 2026, 10:55 AM MT
U.S. House
District 2 (Cache County's district):
Rep. Blake Moore(R) won re-election with 49.8% (95,926) to Peter Crosby (D) at 43.2% (83,211) district-wide. In Cache County, Moore carried 51.8%.District 3:
Rep. Celeste Maloy(R) leads, 57.9% to 35.4%.District 4:
Rep. Mike Kennedy(R) leads, 51.9% to 41.6%.District 1:Democrat Ben McAdams won with 71.9%, giving Democrats a seat in Utah's congressional delegation.
Constitutional amendments
Amendment A (passed):Proposed constitutional amendments will be published for 60 days before the election on state websites, as set by law, instead of in newspapers. Statewide it was on track to pass with about 60%; Cache County voted 64.3% for.
Amendment B (failed):Would have required tax-increasing citizen initiatives to win at least 60% of the vote. Statewide it failed 62.3% against to 37.7% for; Cache County voted 57.7% against.
Utah Legislature:Republicans lost some legislative races beyond Cache County too. In Senate District 11, for example, Republican Brooks Benson trails Forward Party candidate Emily Buss by about 230 votes, and several other Republican seats were held by narrow margins. Here at home,Rep. Jason Thompson's House District 3 went to an unaffiliated challenger.
Judicial retention:Every Utah Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and First District judge on the Cache County ballot was retained, each with roughly 80% or more "yes" in Cache County.
Why it matters:Utah's House delegation will no longer be all Republican, and with divided government in D.C., our members of Congress will need to work across the aisle to get things done for Utah. At the Capitol, a slightly smaller Republican majority means every vote and every voice from Cache Valley carries more weight. That's exactly why our Legislative Collaboration Committee matters: apply atcachegop.com/lcc-apply.
