Mark Hurd is a declared candidate for Cache County Council. His background includes supply chain and facilities management with responsibility for multi-million-dollar budgets, small business ownership, and operational leadership roles. He has also served in various capacities within the Cache County Republican Party, including district and party leadership positions, committee service, and delegate roles at the county and state levels.
At the local government and community level, Hurd currently serves on the Cache County Council representing the Northeast District and as Chair of the Bear River Watershed Council. His past service includes multiple terms on the Hyde Park City Council, participation on planning and police commissions, leadership on water and canal boards, and involvement in securing land resources for community use.
Hurd has lived in several Cache County communities and has been active in local civic organizations, including long-term involvement with the Hyde Park Lions Club. He describes his personal interests as family-centered and outdoors-oriented and identifies values centered on limited government, individual liberty, property rights, religious freedom, and opportunity.
